BUT WAIT! There's More!

Does anyone remember those cringey 'As Seen on TV' commercials that seemed to never end because they kept saying "wait, there's more" and you were like "Bro, what else can you do with a sponge?" I was thinking about that today and how it relates to relationships in our culture. Every time I get on social media I see the caption "goals" and it's something superficial like a text message between a couple that says something usually around the lines of "you're beautiful". This always leave me with the same "WAIT!! There's soooo much more!".

It's been awhile since I've been in the dating game but I know there's more to it. As well as there's more to me! The older I get the more I replay the words "she is beauty, she is grace"over and over in my head. Yes, she is beautiful but she is also a sister, a daughter, a friend, A BELOVED! She is beautiful but she is fierce, intelligent, childlike, a force to be reckoned with. Yet, how sad is it that so often I, as well as others, have what truly makes them beautiful overlooked. Maybe I wouldn't go as far as to say overlooked but neglected. As a culture we fail to ask questions and pursue one another in the ways we all actually desire!

So, maybe it's unnecessary to dive deep into what makes this sponge so amazing. But I believe we all have way more to show off than any materialistic object!! In the end, when it really counts and we're all old, wrinkly and grouchy- it won't matter that we were skinny, tan, tall, dark and handsome or down right ugly... All that will matter is that we truly loved and knew one another fully! When we looked into each other's eyes we saw one another's souls, wildest dreams, biggest fears! THAT is"goals!".

So WAIT! Ask about the 'more!'
